HOW TO ARRIVE

Transportation

  • Istanbul has two parts: European and Asian (i.e., Anatolian) parts. Koç University is in the north of the European part of Istanbul. Istanbul Atatürk Airport is in the south of European part of Istanbul, while Sabiha Gökçen Airport is in the south of Anatolian part of Istanbul.
  • Transportation from both airports are mainly towards Taksim. Taksim is the center of Istanbul in many ways - including transportation. Many buses operate from Taksim as does the metro. (http://www.istanbul-ulasim.com.tr/images/RayliSistemler.jpg)
  • Various alternatives have been provided in the following guide, but taxi is the fastest and easiest way to get to campus (but of course, the most costly one as well), especially with a baggage.

What to do after arrival:

  • You will be welcome by the security at the gate when you arrive the Koç University. The security will direct you to the registration desk of PWCYPS2012. 
  •  Participants will be accommodated at Koç University in Rumelifeneri Campus dorms.
  •  As long as you are in the campus please refer to the following map, especially for the lecture halls (in the Engineering Faculty Building), restaurant and dorms.

Meeting Venue

Lectures and meetings will be in the Engineering Auditorium,  at the Faculty of Engineering, Koç University. Registration on July 6th will also take place there. Please refer to thismap within the campus.
